Enlighten

His light is brighter than the sun's light.

Enlightenment is more like loosing that cover from your eyes that does not let you see the true in things.  It’s like waking up to a reality before unknown.

This is a way to explain a real conversion like it was the case of the apostle Paul.  It’s the knowledge received by the Holy Spirit where the believer is convinced of sin and realize that what he though he knew, wasn’t as he thought.  The believer understands without further explanation, that something important has happened in his life.  And that his life, requires a drastic change.

According to some dictionaries, enlightenment is just learning something new.

On the other hand, baptism is like to deep in.

Baptism in The Holy Spirit is an experience where God himself make you part of his family and a new member of the spiritual world.   It’s a great deal of controversy surrounding this.  Some affirm that this type of manifestations are not biblical and even call them heresies.   So far, almost everything seem a heresy.

The Pentecostal evangelicals, believe that what happened in Pentecost did not end up with the apostles.  It actually continues today in the same way.  Pentecostal evangelicals affirm that they speak to God, listen to Him, speak in new tongues angelic and human languages, heal the sick, resurrect the death and perform miracles just like Jesus and the Apostles did.

That even when times had changed, God and his church remain the same.

It’s also understood that a great deal of knowledge about Jesus Christ and his primitive church was lost.  After the reform of Martin Luther, the church has gone through a recovering experience trying to go back to the original church.  This has been the effort of many ministers and church revivals.

Revivals is the ideal stage of the church when the church is directed by God through the Holly Spirit.  It’s an experience where people come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, the sick are healed, and miracles just happen reinforcing the faith of the believers.

Many Pentecostal Evangelicals believe that revivals should stay in every Christian life as the day they believe and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Revival is what causes to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The message of Jesus is a revival in itself.

There is a mystic way to explain spiritual matters; way that make them feel far and unrealistic.

But the gospel of Jesus Christ is simple enough to be understood by the uneducated as well than by the intellectuals.  At the same time is too complex for the fleshy mind that only can understand physical terms.

To understand God and His true, more than a mind, we need a heart.

Have you ever seen two people arguing, and then realize that they are both defending the same point of view?

The bible open source

Often, people start a discussion without listening to what the other party has to say.

When it come to Christians, there are so many points in which we all agree. The bible is clear enough for us to understand that God is not pleased in non-productive arguments.

  • We all know that Jesus put his life to save us from our sins.
  • Every soul is valuable to God, and so should be to us.
  • We all know that The Lord wants us to love each other as if we were one.
  • We all know that God hates sin and we should not practice it.

It seems that the most important points are perfectly clear and everyone agree. But why so many allegations of being the only one saved and the rest will go to Hell?

Let’s stop listening without understanding.  Let’s take the bible as a series of books all combined.  No more isolated passages to defend a point.  Let’s genuinely seek for the will of God like someone who knows nothing and eager to learn.

If the world of God is revealed by The Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. It looks so clear that practicing arguments among believers is contradictory to what we profess.

There is no need to try to convince someone of certain doctrine. After teaching someone, all that is left is to pray.

The person need to realize the true by himself in order to have absolute faith on it. The sawer, in the parabola of Jesus, just throw the seed. The Lord is the one who cause the seed to grow according to the bible. We can’t force the word into anyone. No matter how good our intentions may be. God is the one who does the work in each persons’ heart.   Jesus has to enter into a person’s heart.  We can’t force it.

When it come to Christians, the scriptures says:

Jeremiah 31:33
“No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”

Should The Bible be interpreted only by church authorities? For many centuries, the word of God was confined to the priesthood for teaching it, and for interpreting it.  The reason was to stop blasphemies and heresies.

After a while, we got a big corruption inside the church.  The bible became a prohibited book. Nobody knew anything other than what the church authorities let them know.  People started believing that killing under the name of God was good.  It took Martin Luther  and many small battles and even blood to bring the freedom to read the word of God, again.

All of this, is absolutely shameful to the body of Christ.

Why is important the freedom to open interpretation?

My salvation concerns me first.  I am the most affected if I get lost.

Why should I relay on the clerical to read the bible for me?  What about if they are wrong?

I will listen to the authorities but with a conscious.

I won’t argue.  But, I won’t close my eyes when things are wrong.

I pray to God for direction.

I will ask him questions when in doubt.

Without a doubt, He has all the answers.

If I can’t listen to.  Then I would ask for a sensitive heart and mind, and also for wisdom.

I will trust God with all my heart and I will stay alert on everything I hear.
