Often you see that two or more Christian denominations have a very different point of view about the same subject.  They both claim to base their arguments in the bible.

And I will tell you, this is true.  They are both based in the scriptures.  Does this means the bible contradict itself?

To your surprise, I will tell you, the bible does not contradict itself.  The bible could be complex to outsiders because it speaks of the relationship of God and his people.

Let’s use this example.   Some denominations affirm that Jesus is God, others that he is not God, and some will say that he is the only God.

This three groups have a sincere conviction on what they are saying.   They all support these affirmation with scriptures. (more…)

There were many wide-spread lies in the dark ages in the church.  Many of those lies were bound by the reform.  But when it comes to the nature of God.  There is a concept that still persists and preached as if it is true.  It’s not based on scriptures or anything.  It’s just a very defended concept that many support.

This is the saying that Trinity is a mystery that no one can possibly understand.  It’s a way to close the subject before any question may arise.  Whoever even touches it, is automatically considered heretic.  This was one of the main causes of mass killing by the Catholic church based on heresies. Justice

Justice

The chapters 5 to 7 of the book of Matthew is the review of the commandments and the Jews laws by Jesus.

He says that he did not come to abolish the law, neither the prophets, but to fulfill the law.

The Lord understands how people try to play tricks to stop doing what they are supposed to.  The Pharisees and teachers of the law are the best example.  When something seems too difficult, we tend to accommodate it.  This is part of human nature. (more…)

Sometimes, I hear people saying that God die for us.  But God can’t die.

Jesus die as a sacrifice or ransom for our sins.  He is the high priest who offered himself as the sacrifice for his people.  He is the perfect sacrifice.

When they refer to Jesus, they do it as talking about God.  Well, this is right, but not without understanding that Jesus is the tabernacle of The Lord and God is Spirit.  The Lord God is the spirit that fills the tabernacle.  So Jesus is God.

Like the bible refers to The Angel of The Lord in the old testament as God, so Jesus is like The Angel of The Lord, but in a human body.

The Lord God, walked among us through Jesus.

Receive the kingdom as a child

The purpose of the church is to continue the ministry of Jesus

The revival already came when you understood that we needed to be saved and Jesus was our only hope.

Revival is no more than to renew yourself.  It’s to come back to life.  It’s to wake up.

When a person or a church is not in “Revival”  it’s just because it has lost its purpose.   It does not understand what it stands for.

The purpose of the church is no more than to bring the kingdom of God.   This was the purpose of Jesus’ ministry and so the purpose of the church is to follow his ministry.

To bring the kingdom of God is to do the work of God.  It’s to proclaim good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom to the captives, release from darkness, from prisons, to proclaim the year of The Lord’s favor. (more…)

Calling for revival

Calling for revival

Nowadays, we are observing the revival of many pagan religions.  Atheist are calling their experience of getting into atheism, awakening.  Does this mean anything to us as Christians?

This is the the time to proclaim the real Jesus.  The mystic and unreal stories without real based have no place in church any longer.

We need to understand once for all that the bible is real.  The bible is not a bunch of unrelated stories, but the word of God.

Many of us know this, but not everyone who is in church actually belief.  Now it’s the time when believing is turning into an absolute requirement. (more…)

The Atheist proclaim to experience freedom of religion as an awakening.

The true is that we all should be free of the religion that encourages ignorance.   We should be free of the religion where faith is based on dogmas that prohibit the search for explanations.

When we proclaim the true, there is no fear of being found.  There is nothing to hide.

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, proclaimed the true and warn us against foolishness.

The conversion to Jesus Christ is the real awaking of our lives.   He make us to understand that the world is all about understanding God and it’s purpose for our lives.   This is what brings happiness, peace and joy.

We know the world is true because it has become reality to us.

Like that song “Amazing Grace”  “I was lost, now, I am found.  I was blind, now I see.”

As a Christian transformed by the word of God and his power, I can say from the bottom of my heart.

“The Lord is my Shepherd, nothing I shall want.”

“I live no more, but Jesus lives in me.  And whatsoever I live in the flesh, I live it by faith in The Son of God who gave himself for me.”

He keeps my soul alive.

Many times, true believe is a process.

We first start by following family traditions and trying to be nice good people.

This is because to our eyes, religion is simply a set of rules observed by nice people.  Therefore, if I am religious, I am a nice person.  Unfortunately, for many of us, this is not true.  None religious makes me a good person.  If anything, it could have the opposite effect.

Most of the time, a dramatic experience is necessary to bring us into the knowledge that we are incapable of being as nice as we believe we are.

Religion involves us into set of rules that if we conform to those rules, we may be called righteous.  The problem with that, is that righteousness is not about following rules.  It’s all about having a good heart.  In other words, is having a natural inclination to do good regardless of what we receive back.   If you analyze Jesus and his interaction with the pharisees, this was what he was meaning by being born again.

The path of righteousness is more like wake up, and know the true, stay alert, do not play fool.  Believe in God and the only way to understand the will of God is by getting to know what Jesus really mean every time he spoke.

The study of the gospels and following them, is the key to the true and the everlasting life that Jesus speaks about.

If Jesus was God, why did he pray to himself?
Jesus praying to The Father

Jesus Praying to Himself

Some people think that human intelligence will made them bible wizards. But the true is, that even when The Bible is targeting educated and non-educated people, the bible is not mean to be understood according to human knowledge.

1 Corinthians 2:13-14

“13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

The first step to understand the scriptures, is to accept that you are a sinner. The second step, is to repent sincerely. Then, we need to recognize that all perfect wisdom and all perfect gifts are coming from God. We need to recognize that all men are liars, but God is truthful. We need to understand, that we know nothing, but God has all the answers.

Isaiah 29:11-14

“11 And the vision of all this has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed. When men give it to one who can read, saying, “Read this,” he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.” 12 And when they give the book to one who cannot read, saying, “Read this,” he says, “I cannot read.” 13 And the Lord said: “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men learned by rote; 14 therefore, behold, I will again, do marvelous things with this people, wonderful and marvelous; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hid.”

God is Spirit and his word should be understood spiritually. The problem is that the fleshy man sees all

spiritual things as without meaning. The spirit is known by experience. It’s not a feeling. It’s knowledge. It’s faith.

Spiritual is what is true in our hearts. Sometimes, the spiritual is manifested in our emotions. The reason is that the emotions express what is deep in our hearts. When emotions overpass our reasoning, we can say, they are coming from the heart, or from the spirit. But you can be certain, they have a reason to be.

For example, I can say, this person has no reason to be mad at me. I am not happy with this person’s attitude, but I can’t feel upset no matter what. I just can’t. This can be called love or trust. This is what

stop us from feeling anger even when reasonable we should. It’s not

is coming not from our mind. This is coming from our hearts. It’s a spiritual feeling or probably not feeling, but perception. It’s stronger than our mind’s will.

So it’s God. He is true and we know him. We do not know him because of words, but because we experienced him.

In the passage above, God complains that this people honor him from the mouth and not from their hearts. They are like automate worshipers that are not really into what they are doing. They do it because someone told them to do so. It’s not from their own hearts. They do not mean what they are saying when they sing. They do not do good because their hearts drive them to do so. We can say, it’s from the flesh.

Some people misunderstand what comes from the flesh. They think that from the flesh mean sinful. But, it just means that it’s not from the spirit. It could be with good intention, but not truthful and not from the heart. And because of this, it does not last.

Then, is Jesus God or not?

“Jesus is praying to himself” is one of the many popular comments that men and women without spiritual understanding make. They have no clue of what is God and who is Jesus.

If Jesus is God, why Jesus prayed so much?

Understand once for all, that God is spirit. God is not a man, neither a son of man.

The bible explains very clear that Jesus was praying to the Father “God.” He said, that he was not The Father, That the Father was bigger than him. That he came from The Father.

The relationship between God and Jesus has been a theme of debate for centuries.

If God is spirit, he can never be just a man. But he can be in a man. God was in Jesus.

Jesus is Christ. Christ means the anointed. We recognized Jesus as The real Tabernacle of God. The only way for us to know God.

It may sound a little silly, but in moments of desperation or frustration, really works to call Jesus and tell him exactly how we feel.

I was in church for many years, and “knew a great deal about the bible.”  I remembered that my pastor told me once, that I was an elderly of the church to my surprise.  And even after that, at one point, I found myself struggling and I said in my heart, I need Jesus.

And I told him.  I said Lord, Jesus, I need you.  I need you to fix my life.  I need, you.

And I started surfing the web about Jesus.  I subscribed to newsgroups about Jesus.  And all I found were people denying God and cursing.  I started talking to them, exposing the gospel.  I started telling them about Jesus.  All the words were coming back to me.  And at the same time, those words were talking to me.

The whole bible started having a more especial meaning.  Every story in the bible was like brand new.  The stories that I heard since I was a child got a special power and sounded different.

Then, the greatest thing happened.  The Lord started working with me.   I never felt him so close.  My prayers were answered, I changed.  Everything changed.  I started seeing things from a different perspective.

So many things that I used to believe, I started seeing them as they were.  I realized that I was believing many lies.

I understood that The Lord truly love us and care about us.  That the blessing of God is always there if we just can see it. Also, I understood that I was blind, that I couldn’t see.  The Lord opened my spiritual eyes.  I also understood, that I was never as righteous as I thought.  But that The Lord could take me through all the way if I just trust him.

I learned that I would never be the same.  I started seeing things differently, feeling more compassion, caring more about others.  I got so sensitive, that I even started liking Opera.  I mean Christian Opera and old music.  I was living every feeling coming from the music.

When I read the news, I prayed in the spirit.  Every morning was a day for The Lord.

Christian Positions that are not according The gospel of Jesus Christ

It’s not enough to call ourselves Christians, we need to follow Jesus teachings and be light to the world bringing up The Kingdom of God. We all need to be born again and allow Jesus to lead our actions and thoughts.

  • Hate to Emigrants
  • Hate to homosexuals
  • Hate to Jews
  • Segregate Children with Home schooling
  • Supporting of wars
  • Believing that worth is synonymous of God blessing
  • Race divided churches

Hate to emigrants: This is contradictory to the hospitality preached in the bible, and original American values.

Hebrews 13:2
“Stop neglecting to show hospitality to strangers, for by showing hospitality some have had angels as their guests without being aware of it.”

Home Schooling and Segregation of your children: Believers are not called to segregate themselves, but to influence the world with their Christian faith.

Matthew 5:13-16:
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? … You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid… Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Hate to homosexuals instead of hate to homosexuality: Christians should not hate to anyone neither behave aggressively against any group.  Homosexuality is wrong, but hate is not going to fix it.  Jesus shed his blood for everyone regardless of race, sexual orientation or gender.  Social and moral problems should be fix by the roots, not by the branches.  Only Jesus gives a new birth transforming the heart.  We can’t change anyone and can’t either push anyone into changing.

1 John 2:9-10
“Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.”

Hate to Jews: The nation of Israel is the nation that God chose to put his name over it.  And The Lord those not repents.

It’s true that they rejected Jesus and God made a new covenant with his church.  But it’s also true that while believers in Jesus Christ are the spiritual Israel, The people of Israel are still the physical people of God.

Money as a sign of blessing: Money is part of earthly blessing.  But those seeking the kingdom make their treasure on Heaven where

Mathews 6:20
“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.”

Race Divided Churches:

  • White churches will allow blacks, but they won’t let them assume positions of leadership.
  • Blacks will stay in a withe church, but would not feel happy with the differences and non intentional but still painful comments of racism.
  • Whites still can’t help to feel insecure in black communities.
  • White can’t either help to feel that they need to lead over blacks.
  • White still think that they are smarter and more educated for being white

As you can see, we all need to be born again and allow Jesus to lead our actions and thoughts.

depression can trap anyone

When depression comes

The moments when church is more valuable in anyones life is when everything goes wrong. When it seems that there is no way out. At that moment we need a friendly hand.

For many, this is exactly what they get from their local church. Unfortunately not everyone get good friends in church. Some get people very willing to criticize them and trying to force them to change at their own rate.  And sometimes, they even force them out.

Jesus struggled in Gethsemane.  He took the closest disciples with him to pray with him.  He needed the support that only real friends can give.  We all go through that moment at one point or another.

Our words are: Please Lord don’t allowed this to happen to me.  Why me?  What I had done wrong?  Wouldn’t be easier if I just die now?

If you are in this situation,  you are not alone.  Many are going trough and have gone trough, even our Lord Jesus was betrayed, tortured, prosecuted, accused without a cause and finally killed.

He teaches us some important lessons that will help us to obtain the victory.

  • Father, be your will and not mine.
  • Call your close friends to pray with you.
  • Pray without ceasing.  He pray hour after hour until the time came.
  • He mute himself, did not open his mouth to defend himself.
  • He suffered all the way without sinning.
  • He trusted his Father, all the way.
  1. Think on how weak and irritable we become when someone we trust betrayed us.
  2. Think on how weak and irritable we become when someone we love, leave us alone when we need them the most.
  3. Think on how weak and irritable we become a night of non-sleep.
  4. Think on how weak and irritable we become when our bodies are tired, thirsty and hungry.
  5. Think on how weak and irritable we become when are in pain.
  6. Think on how weak and irritable we become when are falsely accused.
  7. Think on how weak and irritable we become when the people we helped and love turn against us.
  8. Think on how weak and irritable we become when are facing death.
  9. Think on how weak and irritable we become when nobody believe us.

If we are tested, the Lord was tested first.
He defeated the world, so we would know that we can do it if we follow him.

Praise God for such a great sacrifice of hope and Victory!

It's wonderful to know that we were not left alone

God is as real as math. They just exists. They can be discovered, but never created.

I believe that is wrong to say, I believe, when I don’t.

This is Hippocratic and take away the opportunity for true believing.

This does not mean that the unbeliever is justified from their sins by accepting that he does not believe. No way. He just gets himself open for a real encounter with what is true.

It just means that the person is sincere. When we say that we believe and in our hearts we actually don’t, we do not become saved either. We are rather taking away our chances of finding the truth.

I remember this show about Atheists talking about how they became Atheist. I couldn’t believe that some of them in fact did not believe in the existence of God. I have to recognize that some of them actually don’t believe on the existence of a supreme power.

For many of us believers, this is a shock. God is so real to us that we can’t understand how a person has not sensitivity whatsoever in relation to the spiritual world.

But the true is that knowing what I know about Jesus. If I would not believe in God, I would make Jesus my God. If I would not even believe that Jesus ever existed, I would make the ideas of Jesus my way of living.

The reason for this is that the message of Jesus is so much deeper than what we can asimilate.

Because of his message of inner peace reflecting to the outside. The love that does not seek anything but to build and to heal by extreme compassion. A compassion that does does not see obstacles, but the amazing satisfaction of serving others. He teaches not only to forgive our enemies, but to love them and bless them, to pray for them. We all know, that this is humanly impossible. Only God can get us there.

His only mission is to bring “The kingdom of God” to human kind. This is a kingdom of love, joy, peace, hope, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control, complete freedom. A freedom where not only the body is free, but the soul. We are free to feel joy, to retain our peace even when everything goes wrong and a faith capable of changing any circumstance.

He brought a mission to his church, the mission to change the world through his words and by his example. He gave us a mission that needs to be delivered even when the price is our own lives. The reason why, it is because, there is a need, and we want to reach those in need. People needs the Lord.

This message is worth to live and die for.

No wars should be made in the name of GodThere are some teachings of Jesus very hard to digest. But looking at them closely, we realize that they are the base of our Christian faith.

The Lord send us as sheeps in the midst of wolves.
Christian should never fight back, they say…
The sheeps have no chance when facing a wolf. Because the sheeps are unable to defend themselves. The Shepperd pays close attention to any danger and immediately something goes wrong, he runs to rescue them. He does not care of how big is the danger. But he put his life to save his sheeps. The example is king David when working as a Shepperd for his father.

In this world, If we try to defend ourselves as Christians, we will perish. If we fight evil practicing evil, then we are like them. In this case, we won’t be enhancing the kingdom of God, but the kingdom of darkness.

Matthew 26:52 says: “Put away your sword,” Jesus told him. “Those who use the sword will die by the sword. It’s clear that the Lord disagree with faithing his battles through a sword.

Jesus healed the soldier who went to catch him after Peter cut his ear. We are called to heal, to restore, to forgive, to give to the poor. In few words, to bring the kingdom of God to this world.

Someone may ask, how this can be done without fighting. This is the reason we live by faith. The Lord founded his church with a few

God loves my enemy, so should I.

followers who were not politically powerful, neither well educated, but believe in Jesus words with all their hearts.

Like Paul said, our fight is not against flesh neither blood, but rather against principalities of darkness.

We need to make everyone aware that no one should go to war. This is a dream, it may look impossible, but one day it will happen. It’s written.

If our whole nation convert to Jesus, we need to change our army and instead of people with weapons, we should have an army of man and women with bibles and full of the Holy Spirit to proclaim the gospel to the enemies. Because the only enemy of Jesus followers is evil itself, not the people. If we need to abandon the country, we can do it because we know that our citizenship is not of this world but of Heaven. If do not have anything, we can trust that the Lord provides to those who are loyal to him. This is faith and true belief.

As Christian and I am not patriot for any country but of Heaven. If my country fights and my enemy looses, I also loose. Because God is also at their side. My victory is only when everyone wins. When there is peace. When Jesus touches the hearts and people come to God.

Most of the controversial issues among Christians would end up if we based everything in the most basic concepts of God.

  • God is love.
  • God is one.
  • God is Spirit.

God is love and everyone born from him love his brother. If someone does not love his brother, such does not know God.
On this, we know that we are in Him and that we are in the true, in that we love one another, according to the Apostle John.

God is one and there is no division in him. And so his church is one and indivisible, because every member is born from the Spirit and is united to God by love and so united to the rest of the body.

There is no space for hate and resentment within the body of Christ. Jesus commended us even to love our enemies. And if we have to love those who prosecute us and curse us and hate us, how much those who are close to us and do not hate us, just disagree with us.

God is Spirit. We will never know God but through the Spirit, because He is Spirit. But we can’t perceive the spirit, but trough the word and the Character. And no one has the word of God, neither the character, but God himself. Only the words and life of Jesus show us God, because nobody knows the Father, but the one who came out of him (Jesus). He is the only way through God and we can only know his words and character through the scriptures.

The revelation of the scriptures comes by the the faith in Jesus Christ and the presence of his Holy Spirit. And there is no confirmation on any revelation without agreement with the scriptures, or confirmation by prophecy.

By the mouth of two or three witnesses should be taken all matters. So the revelation of the word should be confirmed by the word of God or by more than one prophet who shows the fruit of the Holy Spirit in his or her life.

The scriptures have no meaning, if we don’t perceive them as real. In other words, we need to believe them, to see Jesus as a real man who once was around on earth. We also need to re-read the scriptures and pray over them. We also need to clean ourselves from all sins and fruit of the flesh and from our own prejudice and pre-learned ideas.

When we think we know something, we are actually locking ourselves to learn and to understand. No wonder children learn faster than adults!

To understand the scriptures, we need to know, that we don’t know it. The one who seeks is the one who finds. The one who ask is the one who receives.

Jesus a Profet

If Muslims are serving one God, the creator of all things. It must be the same God that Jews and Christians serve. As we know, there is only one.

Simple logic.

The problem is whether they accept Jesus as Lord and Savior rather than a simple prophet.

It’s totally wrong to believe in Jesus as just another prophet. Why? Because Jesus did not presented himself as another prophet. He presented himself as the son of God, as the Messiah, as the promised king.

Not only that, Jesus said that he is the door and nobody comes to the Father, but through him (By the way, The Father is God).

If he was only a prophet, we should consider him as a false prophet. This is the case of the Jews.

But hey! He couldn’t be a false prophet. Why?

First of all, because the prophesies presented in Issiah for the Messiah took place on him, and so, many other prophesies.
Because nobody taught before him of power coming from good. His message was clearly expressed and proved that good defeats evil.

The Jews could not eliminate Jesus fellowship through prosecution and killing. So Rome couldn’t exterminate Christians.

Before Jesus, the law said: “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” Jesus said “Whoever believe in me, even if is death, will live forever.”

Jesus also said to his disciples, love even your enemies.

He also said to his disciples: “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:20

He was talking of a higher justice that is not by the law, but just pure love and compassion to those who suffer or are in need. We should love as God love us even when we are sinners and do not deserve such love.

This message couldn’t be from any other, but from God himself.

The power of the name.

The power is in recognizing Who is Jesus and acting under His authority.

The power of the name of Jesus is not based on pronouncing the name Jesus. There is no magic on pronouncing this name.

There is no power on calling my neighbor Jesus, just because his name is Jesus. He won’t perform a miracle for me.

There is nothing special on the sound of the name Jesus by itself. (more…)
