Joel 3

2 I will also gather all nations,
        comment: The Lord is directing to every nation of the Earth
And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
        comment: The Valley of Jehoshaphat was when King Jehoshaphat prayed to God and God gave him the victory
        without they fighting.  Three nations plot together against them and they end up killing each other.
And I will enter into judgment with them there
On account of My people, My heritage Israel,
        comment: The whole nation of Israel, not just Judah.
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
They have also divided up My land.
         comment: The Nations had divided God’s land.
They have cast lots for My people,
Have given a boy as payment for a harlot,
And sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.

      comment: Young children of Israel sold

“Indeed, what have you to do with Me,
O Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia?
       comment: Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia took the gold and silver from God’s temple
Will you retaliate against Me?
But if you retaliate against Me,
Swiftly and speedily I will return your retaliation upon your own head;
        comment: Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia took the gold and silver from God’s temple
Because you have taken My silver and My gold,
And have carried into your temples My prized possessions.
Also the people of Judah and the people of Jerusalem
You have sold to the Greeks,
        comment: Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks to take their land.
That you may remove them far from their borders.

“Behold, I will raise them
Out of the place to which you have sold them,
And will return your retaliation upon your own head.
I will sell your sons and your daughters
        comment: Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia were sold by the Jews to the Sabeans

Into the hand of the people of Judah,
And they will sell them to the Sabeans,
       comment: Eventually many Sabeans emigrated as far as China and Spain ( http://phoenicia.org/sabaeans.html )
To a people far off;
For the Lord has spoken.”
        comment: God has spoken.  It’s like adding His signature and what He has said.

12 “Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.
13 Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe.
       comment: This will happen at the right time.  The harvest is symbol of God’s taking and hiding
his people from the suffering coming to the world.
Come, go down;
For the winepress is full,
The vats overflow—
For their wickedness is great.”
      comment: The Lord will come when there is too much wickedness to bear.

14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision!
For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
15 The sun and moon will grow dark,

     That is the same sign of Joel for the last days..
And the stars will diminish their brightness.

What is the reason for going to a church?

  • To bring up the kingdom of God (This is the main theme of Jesus Christ).
    Where God is king, everything goes well.
  • To meet other like-minded people and operate with them as one body (one family).
  1. They will remind you Jesus mission.
  2. They will help you to stay focus on it
  3. They will be your partners on accomplishing it.
  • To give by grace what you had received by grace ( Salvation, forgiveness, love, peace and hope ).
  • To make new disciples to continue the mission.
  • For the church to empower you and for you to empower the church  into taking the gospel to everyone.
    Not everyone will believe, but everyone needs to hear it.  The sewer of the story through the seeds on all types of soil.

What is real worshiping?

  • True worshiping is to honor God by obeying His words.
  • It’s to meditate on His words and commandments and fear His judgment.
  • It’s to remain calm in the midst of trouble knowing that He is good, He Almighty and He is in charge.
  • It’s to give thanks on every circumstance because whatever happens, it will work for good.
  • It’s to say God is good, not because you must say it, but because you know it.

The hypocrisy of traditional religion establishes that when someone falls, everyone goes against him(her).  I guess that is what the questions is about.

Here comes the point that there is a difference between being wounded and being death.  The church is supposed to heal the wounded and bury the death.

But who are the death in church?  Those whose hearts are bad and won’t give any good fruit, but rather would destroy the rest.  Their hearts are corrupted with evil (They lie, they consent it, they care more about men opinions than God’s) .  They should not be part of the church.  We have an example in Acts 5 about the couple who lied to The Spirit.

On the other hand, the wounded are those who got hurt by other people sins, weakness, etc and given the right treatment, they will get healed.  Their hearts are not corrupted.   Their corruption is just in appearance.  Once they understand they did wrong, they will repent and gain forgiveness.

This is true in most good Christians.

But do the church kills the wounded instead of just burying the death?  As a human institution the church suffers the same weaknesses we suffer.  And yes, times are when the wounded are buried and the death are leading.

But one thing remains true, God is in charge and those who are alive will heal and those who are death will remain death.

If you noticed when people are reading the bible, some even change their way of speaking.

Slaves of Love

Slaves of Love

What are they actually thinking? I was there too.

Then I realized Jesus was not like that. The Pharisees were like that.

They saw a God that was so high, too high to touch their lives. They tried to be good with all their strength. But, there was no way they could. But they thought they were good and even that they were following the law of God.  And what was worst, they thought they were better than other people. (more…)

Jesus teaches in the gospels that sin comes from our hearts to our minds and to our senses and it becomes an act once is consented in the heart.  But he condemns sin, before it becomes an act.

Matthew 5:27-28
“27Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
As you can see, the sin entered by the eyes, but it became sin by being consented in the heart.
The heart in the bible is often referred as the center of our desires and will power. (more…)

There were many wide-spread lies in the dark ages in the church.  Many of those lies were bound by the reform.  But when it comes to the nature of God.  There is a concept that still persists and preached as if it is true.  It’s not based on scriptures or anything.  It’s just a very defended concept that many support.

This is the saying that Trinity is a mystery that no one can possibly understand.  It’s a way to close the subject before any question may arise.  Whoever even touches it, is automatically considered heretic.  This was one of the main causes of mass killing by the Catholic church based on heresies. Justice

Justice

The chapters 5 to 7 of the book of Matthew is the review of the commandments and the Jews laws by Jesus.

He says that he did not come to abolish the law, neither the prophets, but to fulfill the law.

The Lord understands how people try to play tricks to stop doing what they are supposed to.  The Pharisees and teachers of the law are the best example.  When something seems too difficult, we tend to accommodate it.  This is part of human nature. (more…)
