The revival already came when you understood that we needed to be saved and Jesus was our only hope.
Revival is no more than to renew yourself. It’s to come back to life. It’s to wake up.
When a person or a church is not in “Revival” it’s just because it has lost its purpose. It does not understand what it stands for.
The purpose of the church is no more than to bring the kingdom of God. This was the purpose of Jesus’ ministry and so the purpose of the church is to follow his ministry.
To bring the kingdom of God is to do the work of God. It’s to proclaim good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom to the captives, release from darkness, from prisons, to proclaim the year of The Lord’s favor.
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor
It’s also the recognize that Jesus is Lord and our only savior. That we can’t save ourselves, but we rather depend on God. That nothing is safe in this world, but everything is fine in the hands of The Lord.
Revival starts in our hearts, and from there it grows like the mustard seed.
31Jesus used another illustration. He said, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone planted in a field. 32It’s one of the smallest seeds. However, when it has grown, it is taller than the garden plants. It becomes a tree that is large enough for birds to nest in its branches.”
