There was once a disease called AIDS, still affecting many. Many people contracted the disease by different ways which included blood transfusion.
There were rumors where many were saying that this was a punishment from God. The reason for this allegations, was that this disease was mainly affecting individuals of promiscuous behavior, drug-addicts who shared needles and homosexuals.
Later on, doctors discovered that the disease was past from one individual to another by body fluids like semen and blood.
The true is that, it affected many people in the homosexual community mainly males. Many of them die abandoned from their families and without their partners next to them.
And sadly many called followers of Jesus Christ, seem to be even glad this tragedy believing that God was punishing the sinners.
The relationships among homosexuals were not only illegal, but antisocial and shameful. Same sex partners were not allowed to share insurance. If one was staying home racing children, this one had no access to health insurance. If he or she contracted AIDS, he or she had no insurance. If one was in the hospital, the other one did not have rights to be next to the patient as a partner, but only as a visitor. They could not inherit from each other, unless there was a will. Children from past marriages were not protected for a legal union.
Due to this situation, many develop anger against society, against religion and even against God. It seemed so unfair to the witnesses of such drama.
Well, some though, probably if marriage is legal among same sex couples, it would be more human.
Wow, this is a hard-core situation. Marriage among same sex has many repercussions. It’s not only about protecting same sex families and couples. It changes the entire social structure. It changes the views on Christian religion. It reconsiders all moral values and ideas of what is right and wrong.
On the other hand, what is positive about all this situation, is that it is forcing for honest judgment and consideration for what is right and wrong. Most Christians understand that is not okay to impartially judge all homosexuals as perverts. The problem is so much more deeper than that. It’s true that there are perverts, people without conscious, but there are not so easy to classify. We find those people in all sectors of society, even hidden by a false shield of religion.
Nowadays, we Christians are facing a system that challenges to turn hostile at any point. People are turning against the church and even against God.
At least this is good to filter out the bad workers who are not willing to face any sort of prosecution and are only looking to profit from their false faith.
