It may sound a little silly, but in moments of desperation or frustration, really works to call Jesus and tell him exactly how we feel.

I was in church for many years, and “knew a great deal about the bible.”  I remembered that my pastor told me once, that I was an elderly of the church to my surprise.  And even after that, at one point, I found myself struggling and I said in my heart, I need Jesus.

And I told him.  I said Lord, Jesus, I need you.  I need you to fix my life.  I need, you.

And I started surfing the web about Jesus.  I subscribed to newsgroups about Jesus.  And all I found were people denying God and cursing.  I started talking to them, exposing the gospel.  I started telling them about Jesus.  All the words were coming back to me.  And at the same time, those words were talking to me.

The whole bible started having a more especial meaning.  Every story in the bible was like brand new.  The stories that I heard since I was a child got a special power and sounded different.

Then, the greatest thing happened.  The Lord started working with me.   I never felt him so close.  My prayers were answered, I changed.  Everything changed.  I started seeing things from a different perspective.

So many things that I used to believe, I started seeing them as they were.  I realized that I was believing many lies.

I understood that The Lord truly love us and care about us.  That the blessing of God is always there if we just can see it. Also, I understood that I was blind, that I couldn’t see.  The Lord opened my spiritual eyes.  I also understood, that I was never as righteous as I thought.  But that The Lord could take me through all the way if I just trust him.

I learned that I would never be the same.  I started seeing things differently, feeling more compassion, caring more about others.  I got so sensitive, that I even started liking Opera.  I mean Christian Opera and old music.  I was living every feeling coming from the music.

When I read the news, I prayed in the spirit.  Every morning was a day for The Lord.

Christian Positions that are not according The gospel of Jesus Christ

It’s not enough to call ourselves Christians, we need to follow Jesus teachings and be light to the world bringing up The Kingdom of God. We all need to be born again and allow Jesus to lead our actions and thoughts.

  • Hate to Emigrants
  • Hate to homosexuals
  • Hate to Jews
  • Segregate Children with Home schooling
  • Supporting of wars
  • Believing that worth is synonymous of God blessing
  • Race divided churches

Hate to emigrants: This is contradictory to the hospitality preached in the bible, and original American values.

Hebrews 13:2
“Stop neglecting to show hospitality to strangers, for by showing hospitality some have had angels as their guests without being aware of it.”

Home Schooling and Segregation of your children: Believers are not called to segregate themselves, but to influence the world with their Christian faith.

Matthew 5:13-16:
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? … You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid… Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Hate to homosexuals instead of hate to homosexuality: Christians should not hate to anyone neither behave aggressively against any group.  Homosexuality is wrong, but hate is not going to fix it.  Jesus shed his blood for everyone regardless of race, sexual orientation or gender.  Social and moral problems should be fix by the roots, not by the branches.  Only Jesus gives a new birth transforming the heart.  We can’t change anyone and can’t either push anyone into changing.

1 John 2:9-10
“Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.”

Hate to Jews: The nation of Israel is the nation that God chose to put his name over it.  And The Lord those not repents.

It’s true that they rejected Jesus and God made a new covenant with his church.  But it’s also true that while believers in Jesus Christ are the spiritual Israel, The people of Israel are still the physical people of God.

Money as a sign of blessing: Money is part of earthly blessing.  But those seeking the kingdom make their treasure on Heaven where

Mathews 6:20
“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.”

Race Divided Churches:

  • White churches will allow blacks, but they won’t let them assume positions of leadership.
  • Blacks will stay in a withe church, but would not feel happy with the differences and non intentional but still painful comments of racism.
  • Whites still can’t help to feel insecure in black communities.
  • White can’t either help to feel that they need to lead over blacks.
  • White still think that they are smarter and more educated for being white

As you can see, we all need to be born again and allow Jesus to lead our actions and thoughts.

Where can we find real answers?

666 Incomplete Number of Man

The only other part of the bible that mention the 666 is referring to the annual rent of Salomon in 1 Kings 10:14 and 2 Chronicles 9:13.

There is a powerful group, The Free Masons that relates with the construction of the Temple of Salomon.  A secret society with many mysteries.  They also aim for power.  According to what I know about them, their mission is to keep the good people in high positions of power.  Also to open the spiritual minds of those who follow within their fraternity.  All this, sounds great!  The only problem is that it’s so secret that we do not know for sure.

There is also a conspiracy theory which have many people alarmed.  But what is behind the whole subject?  The true is that because everything seems so secret, there is not much information to relay on.  It’s like rumors, nothing in concrete.

The Illuminati, is also another obscure subject.  Some say that this group disappeared a long time ago.  But to tell you the true.  A so dangerous and secret group, could be and could be not.  It’s as hard to prove that they exists as to prove that they do not exist.

The new book of Dan Brown as well as his other book of the Davincci code brings enough doughs to wake up the imagination.  Now Brown says that his book is complete fiction.  It could be.  But we need to stay alert.  Not scared or desperate in any way, because we trust that The Lord is our Shepherd and nothing we shall want.

From my side, I would like to know which are the prophesies of Prophet Nathan?  What it’s written in those other lost books over Salomon and those other written by Salomon that are lost.

Holy Spirit

Awakening of The Holy Spirit

Awakening of The Holy Spirit

There are some offensive expressions when referring to the Pentecostal movements. Ignorance is dangerous, but even more dangerous is to talk about the things, we do not know.  And it’s even more dangerous to talk against the Holy Ghost.

What most of those who criticize this ignore, is that the person dancing or praying in the Spirit, is 100% conscious of everything.  There is not such trance, or real slain.

The Spirit takes over your tongue or your body, but you still have full control over your body and your tongue.  And sometimes, the person is not under the control of The Holy Spirit but under their own flesh.

What these people actually experience is a deep joy.  This is worshiping at another level, where people cry of joy, feel God.  See their praise answered and God treating them as individuals.

I had seen something that sounded very awkward to me.  There are people who call the congregation and tell them, let’s speak in tongues now.  What’s the purpose of speaking in tongues?  To me, this sound fake.  You speak in tongues when you pray or when the Spirit address you to do so.  Even when you pray, it’s not a calculated choice.  The Spirit is the one intervening mysteriously.  You pray for things you don’t know and often for things you know.  You understand what is going on, and the feelings of joy and sorrow are passed to you.  Your soul is renewed, your love for the souls increases.  After, you are more capable to face the day and the troubles coming with it.

Unfortunately, the practice has been exploited by some to gather ignorant multitudes seeking for a real experience with God.  But the good thing about it is that even when the ministers are wrong, The Spirit is truthful and the clean soul is not contaminated.

Part of the job of The Spirit is to keep us awake.   The Spirit reveals mysteries and warn us of things that could harm us beforehand.

People do not manipulate The Holy Ghost.   There is no magic hands on one preacher, unless God has given it.   And if God gives the gift, the kingdom of God is manifested.

There are other types of spirits, but the Spirit of God is recognized by its fruit ( As a single fruit):

Galatians 5:22-23
“22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

The Spirit of The Lord’s purpose is to rebuild our lives and make us capable for all good work to enhance the kingdom of God.  It brings freedom, discipline and wisdom.  When I say freedom, I mean, freedom of the soul.  It allowed us to say no to sin and no the lairs who profane the word of God.

When you see something you do not understand, pray to God to open your eyes.  Do not judge by the appearance.

Joel 2:28

“28And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:”

Praise The Lord!

You may call it coincidence.

Today and yesterday, I assisted to a camp meeting. Yesterday, the preacher read the same passage I read to my children the night before. He talked about the same theme of a movie I saw the week before. And finally, he preached about the same thing, I have being praying that week.

The next day, I asked God about something.  And guess what?  The preacher preached about it.  And one of the scriptures I posted in my post was what he used that night.

Some other coincidence:

I keep forgetting things.  I misplace things, and then I can’t find them.  When I say, God, where is it?  Almost all the time, I immediately find them.  Or sometimes, I ask God to direct me where to look, and where my heart tells me to go, I go.  And almost all the time I find them.

Why not all the time?  This is a question for God that I would like to know.

Another coincidence:

When I was pregnant for the first time, I was scared.  I heard so many stories of pain and extreme labor that I couldn’t help not to be scared.

Well, I asked God to not let me see and suffer the pain of the delivery.  This did not make too much sense.  But the true is that, I had a natural delivery of a beautiful and perfectly healthy girl, while sleeping.

I did not see the birth of my first daughter.  I had no major pain, but everything went well.

Finding God, sometimes is a learning process.  It takes either belief or genuine sincerity.

The Bible

John 5:39-40
39 You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

Obviously, The Lord was not referring specifically to our bibles.  The bible was not put together yet.  He was talking of individual books well-known by the Jews and accepted as the word inspired by God.

Traditionally, we understand that all the books in the bible were written by men and inspired by God.
We believe on everything that is written as the word of God.

Who decided that those books were inspired?

Who decided that these books belong into the bible?

There were individual scriptures where the most important was the book of the law or the Pentateuch ( The first 5 books of the bible).

It wasn’t until around the year 70 when the old testament was put together.

We obtained our New Testament after many attempts to gather, what was going to be the authentic word of God.  There were many disagreements.  And some of those disagreement persists still today.  Not all Christian bibles are composed by the same books.

The Christian bible was first organized around the years 300 and 400.

The protestant church rejected the Apocrypha.  The Apocrypha are five to nine other books belonging to the Catholic bible. But what many protestants ignore is that the Catholic bible is older than the protestant bible.  I also thought at one point that our bible was first.

One thing that always bug me about the number of the books of the bible, is that the bible itself says in Revelation that 6, is a number of man and incomplete.  So we have 66 books in most of our protestant bibles.

Another thing is that the bible refers to some books that were never found.  These are the lost books of the bible.

Examples of these references are:

Joshua 10:13, 2 Samuel 1:18, Numbers 21:14, 1 kings 4:32 & 11:41, 1 Chronicles 29:29, 2 Chronicles 9:29 and some others.

There is also the Nag Hammadi library.  This one was unknown until the past century. I believe, it was 1945.  Correct me if I am wrong.

As a Christian, I believe that there is more to know about our Lord.  That the bible is our road-map to heaven, yet not complete without at least taking a look to those other scriptures not included in our cannon.

Like Paul said in 2Timoty 3:16

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,”

He also says in 1 Thessalonian 5:21

“Test everything. Hold on to the good.”

Enlighten

His light is brighter than the sun's light.

Enlightenment is more like loosing that cover from your eyes that does not let you see the true in things.  It’s like waking up to a reality before unknown.

This is a way to explain a real conversion like it was the case of the apostle Paul.  It’s the knowledge received by the Holy Spirit where the believer is convinced of sin and realize that what he though he knew, wasn’t as he thought.  The believer understands without further explanation, that something important has happened in his life.  And that his life, requires a drastic change.

According to some dictionaries, enlightenment is just learning something new.

On the other hand, baptism is like to deep in.

Baptism in The Holy Spirit is an experience where God himself make you part of his family and a new member of the spiritual world.   It’s a great deal of controversy surrounding this.  Some affirm that this type of manifestations are not biblical and even call them heresies.   So far, almost everything seem a heresy.

The Pentecostal evangelicals, believe that what happened in Pentecost did not end up with the apostles.  It actually continues today in the same way.  Pentecostal evangelicals affirm that they speak to God, listen to Him, speak in new tongues angelic and human languages, heal the sick, resurrect the death and perform miracles just like Jesus and the Apostles did.

That even when times had changed, God and his church remain the same.

It’s also understood that a great deal of knowledge about Jesus Christ and his primitive church was lost.  After the reform of Martin Luther, the church has gone through a recovering experience trying to go back to the original church.  This has been the effort of many ministers and church revivals.

Revivals is the ideal stage of the church when the church is directed by God through the Holly Spirit.  It’s an experience where people come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, the sick are healed, and miracles just happen reinforcing the faith of the believers.

Many Pentecostal Evangelicals believe that revivals should stay in every Christian life as the day they believe and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Revival is what causes to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The message of Jesus is a revival in itself.

There is a mystic way to explain spiritual matters; way that make them feel far and unrealistic.

But the gospel of Jesus Christ is simple enough to be understood by the uneducated as well than by the intellectuals.  At the same time is too complex for the fleshy mind that only can understand physical terms.

To understand God and His true, more than a mind, we need a heart.

depression can trap anyone

When depression comes

The moments when church is more valuable in anyones life is when everything goes wrong. When it seems that there is no way out. At that moment we need a friendly hand.

For many, this is exactly what they get from their local church. Unfortunately not everyone get good friends in church. Some get people very willing to criticize them and trying to force them to change at their own rate.  And sometimes, they even force them out.

Jesus struggled in Gethsemane.  He took the closest disciples with him to pray with him.  He needed the support that only real friends can give.  We all go through that moment at one point or another.

Our words are: Please Lord don’t allowed this to happen to me.  Why me?  What I had done wrong?  Wouldn’t be easier if I just die now?

If you are in this situation,  you are not alone.  Many are going trough and have gone trough, even our Lord Jesus was betrayed, tortured, prosecuted, accused without a cause and finally killed.

He teaches us some important lessons that will help us to obtain the victory.

  • Father, be your will and not mine.
  • Call your close friends to pray with you.
  • Pray without ceasing.  He pray hour after hour until the time came.
  • He mute himself, did not open his mouth to defend himself.
  • He suffered all the way without sinning.
  • He trusted his Father, all the way.
  1. Think on how weak and irritable we become when someone we trust betrayed us.
  2. Think on how weak and irritable we become when someone we love, leave us alone when we need them the most.
  3. Think on how weak and irritable we become a night of non-sleep.
  4. Think on how weak and irritable we become when our bodies are tired, thirsty and hungry.
  5. Think on how weak and irritable we become when are in pain.
  6. Think on how weak and irritable we become when are falsely accused.
  7. Think on how weak and irritable we become when the people we helped and love turn against us.
  8. Think on how weak and irritable we become when are facing death.
  9. Think on how weak and irritable we become when nobody believe us.

If we are tested, the Lord was tested first.
He defeated the world, so we would know that we can do it if we follow him.

Praise God for such a great sacrifice of hope and Victory!

Have you ever seen two people arguing, and then realize that they are both defending the same point of view?

free domain image

The bible open source

Often, people start a discussion without listening to what the other party has to say.

When it come to Christians, there are so many points in which we all agree. The bible is clear enough for us to understand that God is not pleased in non-productive arguments.

  • We all know that Jesus put his life to save us from our sins.
  • Every soul is valuable to God, and so should be to us.
  • We all know that The Lord wants us to love each other as if we were one.
  • We all know that God hates sin and we should not practice it.

It seems that the most important points are perfectly clear and everyone agree. But why so many allegations of being the only one saved and the rest will go to Hell?

Let’s stop listening without understanding.  Let’s take the bible as a series of books all combined.  No more isolated passages to defend a point.  Let’s genuinely seek for the will of God like someone who knows nothing and eager to learn.

If the world of God is revealed by The Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. It looks so clear that practicing arguments among believers is contradictory to what we profess.

There is no need to try to convince someone of certain doctrine. After teaching someone, all that is left is to pray.

The person need to realize the true by himself in order to have absolute faith on it. The sawer, in the parabola of Jesus, just throw the seed. The Lord is the one who cause the seed to grow according to the bible. We can’t force the word into anyone. No matter how good our intentions may be. God is the one who does the work in each persons’ heart.   Jesus has to enter into a person’s heart.  We can’t force it.

When it come to Christians, the scriptures says:

Jeremiah 31:33
“No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

1 John 2:27 “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”

Should The Bible be interpreted only by church authorities? For many centuries, the word of God was confined to the priesthood for teaching it, and for interpreting it.  The reason was to stop blasphemies and heresies.

After a while, we got a big corruption inside the church.  The bible became a prohibited book. Nobody knew anything other than what the church authorities let them know.  People started believing that killing under the name of God was good.  It took Martin Luther  and many small battles and even blood to bring the freedom to read the word of God, again.

All of this, is absolutely shameful to the body of Christ.

Why is important the freedom to open interpretation?

My salvation concerns me first.  I am the most affected if I get lost.

Why should I relay on the clerical to read the bible for me?  What about if they are wrong?

I will listen to the authorities but with a conscious.

I won’t argue.  But, I won’t close my eyes when things are wrong.

I pray to God for direction.

I will ask him questions when in doubt.

Without a doubt, He has all the answers.

If I can’t listen to.  Then I would ask for a sensitive heart and mind, and also for wisdom.

I will trust God with all my heart and I will stay alert on everything I hear.

There is the story of two tween brothers, Esau and Jacob. Jacob, the younger brother probably by minutes because he came out after his brother, wanted to be the first. Esau did not care much about it.

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
1 Corinthians 2:14
Certain things are mean to be understood spiritually

Jacob knew about the promises of God and wanted to have them. But there was no way he could inherited the bless and the promise because he couldn’t change the fact that he was the minor brother.

But one day, his brother came hungry from hunting. He was cooking and his brother wanted some. Jacob took advantage and offered his brother some of the stew in exchange for his right to the blessing. His brother didn’t pay much attention of what was going on. He said, give me the stew, who cares about the right of being the first. He thought that, he was the first anyway. But it seems that God did not think that way.

Finally, Jacob didn’t get the inheritance, but he got the blessing and the promise of God.

Jacob’s ambition was for the things of above. The things that Esau could not see.

Another story is the one of David and Saul. King Saul was a humble man who liked the people, but who estimated people’s opinions over God’s. David on the other hand, was a charismatic boy who liked God and so, God’s people. He was willing to put his life for the people of Israel. Saul disobeyed God to please the people. And after being rejected by the Lord, and hear that his kingdom would be given to someone else, his only concern is to look good before the people and the elders.

1 Samuel 15: 30
“Saul replied, “I have sinned. But please honor me before the elders of my people and before Israel; come back with me, so that I may worship the LORD your God.” 31 So Samuel went back with Saul, and Saul worshiped the LORD. ”

We can clearly see that the fleshy man cares more of people’s opinion. What people would say is more important than what God may think.
Galatians 1:10
Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

"When you pray, pray believing that you will receive."Sometimes, we pray for a while and nothing seems to happen. Nothing happens until one day.

That day when we decide to tell the Lord that we can’t take it a any longer. Sometimes even with tears, and we come and talk to him of what is deep in our hearts. We are willing to give up on something we were not willing to. We make promises. We are finally willing to accept whatever is the will of God. We feel that we release something.

I remember watching the Incredible Hull. It’s incredible how adrenaline is activated in the body on a crucial moment. But it does not happen to everyone. Probably the difference is faith. The one that gets it, does not leave any space for dough. He only does what he desires to do to save himself or someone he loves. Their minds seems to be saying I got a do it and they just do it.

Even to correct a child, you need to believe that he will obey you. The lack of faith make you a weak parent. Sometimes, it’s not faith but knowledge. If you don’t know that a baby will refuse the food and still eat it, you may stop your attempt to feed him. If you do not believe that you actually have the power over your young kid, he won’t believe it either.

  • When we pray, we need to want what we are asking for.
  • We need to have an undivided mind. Sometimes we want something and later, we do not.
  • We need to believe that it’s possible in our minds. Sometimes we pray and we can’t imagine as real what we are asking for.
  • If someone ask you, are going to receive your petition. You couldn’t sincerely answer yes. You will say, I do not know.
  • We need to be able to answer why the Lord will answer my pray.
  • There are many responses in the bible, our manual. If I am able to believe to a promise, probably I can be certain that He will answer my pray.
  • We need to pray according to the will of God.
  • We need to make peace with God. If there is anything in our lives that take us away from him, we need to give it up. We need to repent to be in harmony with him.

The one who is not born again won't enter the kingdom of God

Receive the kingdom as a child
The new birth in Jesus Christ was very popular at one point, but it seem to be loosing importance in our churches today. The true is that the bible says that whoever is not born from water and from the Spirit will not enter the kingdom of God. To be born again seems to be vital to reach salvation.

First, we are born from water through baptism. We commit to believe and live according to the scriptures. In few words, we commit to fallow Jesus in everything he said. This part takes a great deal of self control and discipline. Few people are naturally well disciplined and have a great deal of self control. These group make wonderful religious people. Probably this is the group that won’t put our churches in shame.

But there is another requirement to reach salvation. We need to repent and born from the Spirit. This is easy to understand for all of those who are sinners to the eyes of everyone. It’s easy for those who have no sense of self discipline and neither self control to recognize that only a miracle from God can save them. That was the case of the women who cry at Jesus feet and dry his feet with her tears. She was repented from her heart. She could see that she did not deserve to be saved, that she needed The Lord desperately on her life.

But the big true is that we are all sinners and none of us deserve salvation for what we had done. Salvation is a gift to those who find grace on Him.

The second baptism or new birth is the one from the Spirit. Through the spirit, we gain a new heart capable of loving, full of faith, joy, peace. A meek heart, humble and good, capable of controlling himself. The fruit of the Spirit produces in us a sincere repentance and it convince us of sin. John 16:8 “GOD’S WORD Translation
He will come to convict the world of sin, to show the world what has God’s approval, and to convince the world that God judges it.”

The Holy Spirit also purifies our hearts giving us clean and pure heart according to God.
